Oh, I’ve always been very attentive to my health. I believe it’s very important to stay healthy and energetic regardless of your age. Sadly, a lot of my classmates already have some chronic health issues — poor eyesight, bad posture, gastritis and many, many more. It’s awful! I myself have problems with my blood pressure, but I absolutely don’t want to sit around and do nothing. I do morning exercises every day, I jog two or three times a week, and my diet doesn’t include any junk food or sweet drinks. Some people believe that it’s boring to live like that, but I don’t agree — and frankly, don’t care.

I guess my lifestyle is alright, but there is always room for improvement. For example, I don’t have a very comfortable chair at home, and I need to sit in front of my computer a lot. Also, just like all of us, I’m looking at my phone pretty much all the time... My parents already say that my posture is getting worse, and my mom wants to buy me a special device for keeping my back straight! I really wouldn’t want to wear anything like that, so I’d rather start exercising...

Unfortunately, I can’t stay as active as I would like to. Last year, I fell off my bike and seriously injured my knee. Of course, it was my mistake not to wear any knee protection, and I’m still dealing with the consequences. My friends invite me to their tennis practice regularly, but I still can’t run or jump properly, so I just watch them from the stands. I am only allowed to do physical therapy now, and I know that it’s very helpful, but these exercises are just so boring!

To be completely honest, I don’t follow any healthy lifestyle trends. Why would I? These rules change every few years. At first, people promoted vitamins, and now it is said that you shouldn’t take vitamins unless you have a medical problem. And don’t even get me started on diets and exercise styles — they go in and out of fashion every week. I don’t want to miss out on nice food or exhaust myself at the gym trying to catch up with a trend.

Personally, I come from a family of doctors, so I know everything about maintaining good health. However, no one in our house is crazy about following rules. Rather, we stay reasonable and always use common sense. For example, I would never eat three ice-creams in a row or the whole pizza in one sitting! In my opinion, it’s really easy to stay healthy in our day and age, and I’m really curious as to why so many people still don’t want to improve their lifestyles. For example, I don’t understand how one can still smoke despite all the information about the awful effects of smoking. The same goes for people who complain about the lack of time for exercising — there are so many places outside where you could do sports, jog, or play ball games. You can even exercise at home — you just need to go on the Internet! Are we really that lazy?

To be honest, I haven’t travelled much yet. We went to a maths competition in Kazan last year, and it was the first time I ever left my region! I loved Kazan, it is such a unique combination of historical and modern architecture. I wish I could visit more places in the future. This autumn we are hoping to go to a competition in India! I’m very excited about this trip, I hope everything works out fine with the weather and everything. It’s great when studying well gives you the opportunity to see the world.

I have visited three countries already, and of course I’d like to visit more. My parents are avid travellers — they have been all over the world! They like hiking and cycling, and they were actually able to cross a lot of countries on foot or on their bikes. When I was growing up, I always wanted to join them, but they believed that I was too young for such exhausting trips. Of course, it was very disappointing, but when I was actually allowed to join them on a trip to Mongolia, I realized how hard it was indeed! Still, it was an unbelievable experience.

I’m not a huge fan of travelling, and here is why — I can only go places in summer, and travelling during the summer is a complete nightmare. Going by bus is incredibly hot and uncomfortable, trains and planes are packed with other tourists who all want to visit the same places... If I spend too much time in a hot and crowded environment, I might get sick, and a couple of my vacations were ruined like that. So I’d rather save up money, stay at home and simply walk around the town.

We travel quite often with my friends. I really love that we are such a tight- knit crew. One person is always responsible for buying tickets, another — for booking the hotel, and so on. Large cities mean you have to adapt to a variety of situations, like finding a new route to work or trying a new restaurant. I enjoy that challenge very much.

My best way is to have a party, especially a family party. I don’t like a teenager party because it’s too messy, I like to take part in the family parties, especially when there’s a lot of peers, people of my age, but I prefer to go with my family, not just me alone, because, you know, I don’t know how to prepare my gifts, so they can give me some advice, and during the family party I prefer the dessert, and the food, I like to taste all kinds of food of different countries.
